Instructions to resume biometric attendance at hospitals

The Department of Health has instructed the officials and employees of government hospitals and health departments, including doctors and nurses, to re-introduce biometric attendance as the coronavirus infection has come down. Saturday (November 20) Director of the Department (Administration) Prof. Md. Shamiul Islam has confirmed the matter. He said, instructions have been sent by the health department to all the hospitals in the country to introduce biometric attendance. Earlier, a directive from the Department of Health said: Health department officials and staff were instructed to refrain from making electronic appearances on biometric machines in order to reduce the level of infection due to the spread of the Covid-19 infection. At present, the situation is under control and it has been requested to introduce biometric attendance system to ensure the attendance of all those working in accordance with proper hygiene rules. It further said that biometric machines in which hospitals have broken down, they should contact the concerned authorities in an urgent manner and take necessary steps to repair them.
